Is it bad if i am in my AdWords account every other day trying to modify and optimize?

Should i give my Ad Groups at least several weeks before i start trying to modify and optimize?

thanks

Basically, if you don't let some time, you cannot see the effect of your each action. Otherwise, you will not be able to know which action caused the effect you are seeing.

I spent 3 months setting up Adwords on my site. Then I did nothing to my site or my Adgroups for a month.
Allowing for weekly cycles - the AdWords traffic increased steadily over the 4 weeks that nothing changed.

Conversely, previously I had deleted all Keywords, for most of my campaigns, that had never recorded an impression. My sites performance slumped for several weeks for all the subject campaigns, but not for those untouched.

My recommendation - yes monitor regularly and make changes when you need to - but not too soon and not too often.

Make sure you base any assessments of trends on data from at least 1 week, preferably a month.

Make sure the trends on which you act are statistically significant trends. Beyond that, many of us are in our accounts constantly... you're not alone. :)
