Where exactly does traffic come from?

Any tools or tips to find out exactly where traffic is coming from?

Google Network: I know this is Google.com's traffic.

Search Network: I know this is multiple search partners (myway, ask.com) and adsense for search websites (individual websites with search form button). Is there any way to pin point exactly where traffic is coming from? (e.g. URL)?

Content Network: I know this comprises websites with AdSense. Is there any way to pin point exactly where traffic is coming from? (e.g. URL)?

Would like to get the URLs that have sent us the most traffic and high converting traffic and run a site target campaign on them to ensure that we are number one on the good sites.

Or is creating a site campaign from scratch the only way to really know where traffic is coming from using Google?

Put the google analytics script in your webpage body?

Use a log analytics tool or on-page-script analytics tool...
