Hi everyone,

Can anyone tell me please how to spend full advertising budget in Adwords?

Budget spending is very less and hence low traffic specially at the weekends. How can it be increased?

Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.
Best Regards
Kamil

There is a feature called budget optimser that Google offer which aims to use up your budget by delivering as many clicks as poss. I havent heard great things about & have never tried it, anyone who has id be interested to hear whether it worked or not?

The help file at adwords says

"Please note that we do not recommend the Budget Optimizer for advertisers focused on measuring conversions or values of ad clicks"

So if that is you then I wouldnt use it ;)

Otherwise perhaps build more campaigns, raise your budget more on the existing one, bid to higher positions etc.

I asked G the same question - when I started, my dils spend never seemed to get to 10% of my budget for any given campaign.

G replied that I'd need to increase my bids - good answer.

I didn't increase my bids, but over the past couple of months, as my site and Ads have matured, my taffic has doubled.

Choose accelerated in campaign settings,

make your budget 10x what you want to spend.

My budget is $500 and my actual spend is usually around $50 (per campaign).

Ofcourse you have to monitor it in the beginning to make sure it doesn't run away on you.

Khensu, do you think that the accelerated listing actually works? I used to turn it on every month - because it seems to automatically switch off around the beginning of each month - however I noticed absolutely no change in clicks or impressions. I think that if your budget is set high enough - like you say perhaps 10x what you actually spend a day - it makes no odds. Have not had it on for a couple of months, and if anything my returns have increased (although for me this is normally a good time of the year anyway, so perhaps not relevant).

Lets put it this way, it feels like it works. It might take a few weeks to wear-in but I do belive you get more clicks.

I can't really see how it would make any difference if you have your daily budget set higher than you physically get clicks - chich it sounds like you do, as well as me, then surely the adverts will be showing all the time anyway, as ones budget is never depleted.

I have one campaign where I have to set the daily budget at $1100 in order to spend $500 per day. I dunno why, but it's been maintaining at that rate for months now.

I am not 100% sure what your goal is kashifkb, but it seems as if it is to 'get more traffic' as opposed to simply 'spending your entire daily budget'.

If increased traffic is your goal, then I'd suggest scaling up your keyword list by adding additional (highly targeted) keywords. (I'd strongly advise against additional keywords which are not targeted, however, just for the sake of more traffic.)

Any keyword (or group of keywords) has what you might think of as a finite traffic potential (which can certainly vary from day to day.) So simply increasing a daily budget will not get you more traffic if your existing keywords are already meeting that potential.

I think this is what trannack was getting at here:

I can't really see how it would make any difference if you have your daily budget set higher than you physically get clicks - chich it sounds like you do, as well as me, then surely the adverts will be showing all the time anyway, as ones budget is never depleted.

Also, you might want to consider having your ads appear on the search and/or content networks, if you're not already doing so. This can increase your traffic by a substantial amount - as your ads may then appear on potentially hundreds of sites as opposed to google.com alone.

As others on the forum are sure to say, it's important to track you ROI on this increased traffic - to make sure it is working to your advantage.
