Odd Charges this month

200% above normal on one day

We just got our amex and there were two charges on it on one day for adwords. Each was for about 250 adding up to over $500. We had all of our ads on pause and never go over $10 a month.

I have opened a ticket with google today and have contacted amex. I went into my reports and dont' see anything there that would equate to the charges. The words were were bidding on were pretty low traffic and low cost.

I was wondering if anyone else has seen this.

Are you certain the charges were from Google?
Could it be some sort of scam .. and using adwords as part of the charge reporting...or perhaps some sort of glich with Google's processing..?

I have never seen these type of overcharges with any adwords account I own or manage..so I really can't help with any clear advice...
