Does Top 3 Mean More Clicks?

Or are other positions just as good?

We've recently launched a new site and want to populate our database as quickly as possible. Right now, all our campaigns are in the top three/top left of the page.

In your experience, is the click-through rate better or worse by being, say, in the top 3 on the right hand ad listings, ie, the cheap(er) positions?

If there's been previous postings on this recently - sorry!

My experience has been that the clickthrough rate is better, but the conversion rate is worse.

In my experience, there is a very strong and very consistent correlation between position and CTR. For me, the connection between position and conversion is not nearly as strong.

Right now, all our campaigns are in the top three/top left of the page.

Right where I would want to be with a new launch as long as there was ROI.

First one seen, with a well written ad, is usually the one to get the most clicks.
