How can you determine the actual keywords was used for a broad search?

For example, if I have a broad search setup for the keyword "widgets", is there some way to see the exact search phrase which was used by the visitor? If the visitor typed "500 horsepower widgets", is there a way I can find this out?

So you are saying the only way is to look through the log files eh? Is there a tool that I can feed the log file to and have it spit them out for me?

How do I identify which log entries are from Adwords and which are from organic Google searches?

Yes, Tracking traffic is a pain! Unfortunatelly, I can't tell you much more about traffic reporting. I go by my sales. If my sales make me a profit, I don't care which keyword does what.

I just want to figure out which keyphrases people are using that trigger the broad match. Then I can enter them into an ad group and therefore pay less per click thru then what I pay with the broad match keyword.

You could use something like Wordtracker, and do a deep search for the broad term. I haven't had a lot of luck with that myself, but maybe it's different for different markets. (So far the only AdWords account I manage is for a moving company, and there aren't many variations on the keywords in this market.)

It can be useful to add code into your landing page which sends the referring term directly to a table in a database.
