What is the best method of displaying custom ads for each keyword?

As I can see it, the only way I can create a custom ad for each keyword is to create a separate ad group for each keyword. Is this the only way?

Pretty much. Or you could use the dynamic keyword entry, but your ad will essentially be a template with the keyword inserted (if it fits)

I'm wondering about this as well. I run a fairly large campaign and have a tonne of keywords and it doesn't seem efficient to spend time making a custom ad for each keyword
