I want to have 'widgets' as a negative keyword but I also want my ads to show for 'blue widgets'. Is this possible? If 'blue widgets' is my keyword, does that have precedence over the negative keyword?

If you add [widgets] as the negative, it'll only stop the keyword appearing for widgets as an exact match (ie, phrase match and broad match will still show).
