Think content network ads...

Now think image ads in the content network...

Now instead of .jpg or .gif think of .swf (flash) ads in the content network...(these are allowed)

Can one do dynamic keyword insertion by using a .swf (flash) based image ad?

In other words, can the keyword appear in the image ad?

Guess no one knows?

That would include me. ;)

I've never had this come up, don't know the answer offhand, and will have to do some asking around. I'll post again when I have some info - suspect it won't be today, but soon.

Thanks AWA, please don't forget about this for me.

No worries about that, as it turns out. I was lucky enough to contact the two folks I wanted to confirm this with on the first try.

I was about 85% sure the answer was "No, this will not work". My first expert raised that to a 99.5% certainty. Then I got hold of the product manager for image ads - and he raised it to 100%.

Not the answer you were hoping to hear, I'm sure - but at least now you know.

I've already asked the product manager to consider your question as a vote to make this possible in the future, BTW.
