Can I report obvious arbitrage ads and sites that contain nothing other than AdSense ads?

I still see arbitrage ads and sites alive and well.

How and where would I report them?

Arbitrage is no TOS violation in itself, so there not much to report about that. Adsense ads on a page without content however is a very clear TOS violation. You can report them by clicking on the "Ads by Google" line.

You can also click on the 'ads by Google' and leave feedback.

Often feedback can be something like 'These are the types of sites that explain why we don't opt into content match. Please clean up your network'.

You don't have to report a violation - you can also express an opinion.

Spend your time making better sites, not being the internet police and you'll have a much better ROI.

When decent sites are being bumped off for "lack of quality" and these ads and sites remain, why would you oppose such a report? Clearly, this is what Google is trying to clean up. I'd be doing them and every good site a favor. I promise I won't make it my full time job. But when I see them on my kw search terms, I may just shoot Google a note and let them decide. Okay with you hdtp00?

These sites do not say Ads by Google. But they are clearly Google's top adWords ads for those kws. Perhaps they have deleted the Ads by Google title?

I think you're a little confused if you think someone can delete the ads by google.

1) they are using overture feed
2) domain landing page through some type of 3rd party
3) they are a big company, premium publisher

My guess is #2. Google knows how to detect these. I've never ever felt the urge to report someone, it's an excuse to slack off. I work harder and know that I can get my site on top of theirs via hard work instead of calling the G-police.

edit: also, G probably won't do much b/c of the aforementioned.

You know what's scary? Almost every time I have the opportunity to look at sites created by a person who is a) complaining about google or YPN and b) tries to discourage people from reporting MFA sites, I find sites that are...er...well, either clearly bad, clearly MFA, or playing the border between MFA and content based sites.

So, I've figured that unless I can view their sites, I pretty much assume their positions are fueled by self-interest, rather than improving quality. And that they are doing things that aren't necessarily on the up and up, or they are just plain bad, but are trying to capitalize on loopholes, or google's laxity.

..and of course when I DO view their sites, I kinda know what's behind their posts.

Hi rbacal,

I'm with you on this. Sometimes you have to watch out for those who tell you that's there's no such thing as justice and truth and the police are all in on the game. Sometimes it *is* true, but G is about the least likely org on the planet to be riddled with corruption and to not care about what is "fair" or not, to the point of naivety...

Rgds
