Is broad match enough?

Or should I have phrase match as well?

For example, I have:
-widget news

Am I missing out on clicks by not using "widget news" as well as a keyword?

I wouldn't say that you're missing out on clicks, however phrase match is actually meant to reduce the number of clicks. With this feature you should be getting clicks from shoppers more likely to convert.

You can also get more control of the ad message with phrase match. Takes more work setting up the additional keywords and ads, but usually it's well worth it (again, for more targeted clicks, not for additional click volume).

So if you have

widgets - 20 clicks @ 10 cents

and

"widgets" - 100 clicks @ 10 cents

you are loosing clicks?
