Exporting reports to XML and getting into CSV

I'm trying to get adwords data into various statistical packages for analysis but am struggling because I am forced to export the reports in XML. You can only export to csv for smaller files.

I get an XML file fine but I don't have the expetise to transform that file into something I can use in analytical software (in this case SAS). This seems to be because I am missing a schema or an xslt or something that maps the xml to make sense of it.

I've downloaded various software to attempt this including XMLspy and Mapforce but having no previous experience in XML I'm struggling.

Can anyone help / point me in the right direction?

Update - I can now export a sample xml file to csv using xmlspy but the actual file I need is much larger (1.5gb) and xmlspy can't even open it...

arggh!
