I've this happen several times recently, where after my card has maxed out, I enter new card details for the outstanding payment.

Google then deducts the invoice amount, which I have confirmed with my card company, but then still shows an outstanding balance and keeps the adwords account suspended.

anyone else?

(ps. yes, i also use the backup card facility, but my cards have low limits so max out quickly).

Yep.

All the time when we were on credit card payments, and even more now we're on pre-pay.

E-mail your rep, or better yet ring and keep asking for the accounts department. Generally they'll fob you off with some nonsense about your bank taking their time, but the account always gets credit once you've spoken to them.

yep, you're right. i've been on the phone for nearly 20 minutes and they trying to fob me off saying the payment was declined, but i had my bank on the other line at the same time confirming it was definitely authorised and they provided the auth.code.

now google denying the auth.code exists!

you would think a multi-billon dollar company could afford to install reliable payment systems... i have had the same problem with google so many times now, with a variety of cards/banks.

i also dont understand why they 'authorise' the payment first, why dont they just process the payment first time rather than having 2 stages and all this complexity, errors and inconvenience.

if they dont sort it today, i will have to wait SEVEN DAYS for the previus authorisation to expire before I can re-use the card..... in the meantime my ads are not running and google neither is making money.
