Hi, guys!
Need your advice here… I set up an _adult_ advertising campaign at google adwords, but got no single impression in the last 2-3 days (since the registration moment!). I have read it somewhere that in my case (adult content) the campaign should pass through some “human” editor validation… in this case, how long this validation period may be?

p.s. I am pretty sure that I have set competitive bids and that the keywords are in the top search volume. And Google shows all my keywords and campaign as “active”.

Please, give me some advice, as this program is just making me mad :(

Welcome to WW .

Incase you are not getting your Campaigns to run, you may write to them using the Contact us link from your adWords a/c. You are almost sure to get a response within 1-2 working days.

Leah,

You're in a long queue, especially after a weekend. Write them, but if you put this up, say Friday, I've come to expect not to see the ads until Wednesday.

I put an ad up with 'war' among the keywords over the weekend. Still hasn't been reviewed, but I'm not surprised. Adwords has a long list of words which are flagged for human review and not just adult. 'war', 'battle', 'kids' and many others are among this list.

Thanks, Israel, I am glad to hear that the problem most probably is not on my end!
I wrote them an email yesterday, lets see what they'll respond.

Leah,

FYI, I'm still waiting for my ad with 'war' among the keywords (and in the ad) to be reviewed. It was entered last weekend if I'm not mistaken. That's a rather long but not unprecedented wait time.

My other new ads are showing up immediately (within a minute usually) still.

When I see mine, I'll post again.

Then it might be time for another friendly reminder. It's also not unprecedented for them to "forget" to turn an ad in my experience.

It's like now and then they forget to click "Ok" ;)

The best way to test to see if a brand new keyword that needs review has indeed been reviewed is to try the Ads Diagnostic Tool. If it reports You have no ads that match the search term widget, then it's not yet been reviewed.

Any other message returned is subject to interpretation...
