Adwords SEO?

Will Adwords become a new land of SEO? So why pay for it?

Sometime ago Google started their Adwords program under the premise that sites that have no way to improve their natural or organic ranking in the search engine could have a paind place in the search engine. It was money what put pages there, not quality or ranking.

Lots of people starting building a business above this premise, and never take care in improving their page rank, inbound links or to create content pages. That was the field of SEO, for the people that wanted "free" ranking.

Now it seems that we should do the same for AdWords, improving pages with quality content, getting inbound links to raise our page rank, and so... This is becoming the same as organic SEO... but with one main diference. We have to optimize the pages and also we have to pay to get listed! It does not make any sense anymore.

I agree. The left-hand part of the page (assuming no premium sponsorships in the top) is what Google thinks "Hey, these are the results that we really think are the best - based on looking at the entire Internet" and the results on the right have always been "Here's who paid the most to get your attention right now".

The split made sense to me. Now, it doesn't....
