Hi,

I have Google Analytics attached to one of my websites and it normally tracks perfectly. However, I have this one oddity which popped up over the weekend which is a pre-fix to the normal data I would expect to see

/cgi-bin/anon-www.cgi/

Does anyone know what this is?

Thanks,

LS

It looks like something having to do with some kind of a proxy server to keep your web browsing anonymous.

Hint: search that particular string in Google.

Doh! That would have been the sensible thing to do....thanks!

Still doesn't mean I understand how it got into my logs though, lol

If someone who uses that service comes to look at your pages?

I understand what a proxy is and how it could show up in my logs. It's just appeared in an odd place in the tracking code, plus it's not something that I track in Analytics but I guess that using a proxy just messes up my tags a bit :)

Anyway, thanks for the help :)
