Anyone have any suggestions on what payment options are best? I know it's a simple question but I want to find out if anyone has had any bad experiences here.

WorldPoints is good - Not sure if its a biz card, but you pick cash, travel, gift certs or other junk. No annual fee. If you spend a lot of $$$ the rewards add up pretty fast.

Depends on how much you spend ... I used to use my Amex but then I got a credit line from Google so they just bill me every month and I mail them a check.

I'd use a Diners card, but I've gone down the route of getting billed every month as well.

I use an American Airlines Citicard Mastercard.

I have enough miles for about six free flights. I'm going to Germany next week.

Thanks Adwords!

Is Bubz asking whether he should pre-pay or be billed when he reaches his Adwords credit limit? If so, I would pre-pay if possible.

Well..the way I understand it is that you get an initial credit of $50. When you go over that, initially, they'll automatically increase your credit limit and bill you at the end of the month.

What I don't understand is when this changes. It sounds like you have to pay by CC first. Then at some point, it sounds as though stop billing the credit card and just send you a bill at the end of the month. Is that how it works?

I believe that it changes when you start spending $10,000 per month, when you also get an account manager, maximiser etc.

Not really sure, I've always been a 10k - 12k/month advertiser with AdWords. About 3 or 4 months of paying with my Amex my account rep called me offered a credit line of $20,000 that I could just be invoiced monthly for. So I went for that, I would much rather write a check than pay with a credit card every month. I didn't even know it was an option until she mentioned it though.

wow Digitallv,
10k per month would be 6 free airline tickets (domestic) per year on AMEX......

Heck, I don't even have business checks. Personally, I'd rather take a first class ticket to Europe.

I've used both Amex (for Delta miles) and Firstcard (for United Miles) - each has a modest annual fee but if you rack up significant monthly charges the fee becomes fairly inconsequential.

I've tried to pay for just about anything I could on one of these cards, including a full semester of college tuition. Had some nice free trips, too. ;)

I'd be interested in the Worldpoints option - I've received any number of solicitations for such cards, and supposedly the miles are usable on any airline.

From a pure business standpoint, writing a check is nice and clean, but it won't buy you much additional float (depending on when in the month your Adwords account is billed). I've got one account that bills at the start of the month, but appears on my credit card bill at the end of the month, with another three weeks until payment.

I don't know how fussy Google is about promptness on their A/R, but 6 or 7 weeks of float plus air miles seems like a better option than trying to stretch them. (Or paying them promptly, for that matter.)

The triggers on a self service account are :

$50
then $250
then every $500 (or so) thereafter.

If you don't get up to those figures then it's whatever you spend on a monthly basis that will be taken.

You can call them and have the amount increased.
I have one account at $2,000 and another at $3,000.

Heh, everyone keeps telling me stuff like that but the thing is I hate flying :P I like R.V.'ing, but there aren't any credit cards that offer frequent driver miles that I'm aware of :)

I just used the Amex because it was the most convenient... when the bill came in every month I wrote a check. Now I just write the check to Google directly.

frequent driver miles

I believe shell has a card that earns you free gas.

Also, if you get a hotel card (I hear Starwood is good), you can spend a night in a big bed once in awhile when you are our RV'ing.
