even simple loging in takes a few minutes now
I really think this depends on the account and how its set up.
I have some accounts I can log in and within a second, I'm looking at all the campaigns.
I have others that takes 1-2 minutes to log in.
The difference - one has 5 campaigns with 4-5 ad groups each, and 100-5k keywords.
The other has 30 campaigns with 20+ groups in each and 20k keywords.
I think it depends on the amount of data in your account.

This is quite correct. Login time and navigation with a large account also depends on what date range you are set to, and whether or not you are set to look at only active keywords, Ad Groups, and campaigns.
This seems like a good time to bring up the suggested limits for Campaigns, Ad Groups, and keywords. If one exceeds these suggested maximums, then at some point slow login and navigation problems are quite possible.
The suggested limits are:
* Maximum of 25 campaigns
* Maximum of 100 Ad Groups per Campaign
* Maximum of 2000 keyword per Campaign
* Maximum of 750 keywords per a single Ad Group - while also keeping in mind the point above
* Maximum of 50,000 keywords per account
Tip: if you have a really action packed account, with 'too many' Ad Groups and keywords, then before you log out, set your date range to a short period, such as "Yesterday". Also set things to see only "Active" campaigns, Ad Groups, and keywords.
This will be far less data to pull when you login next time, and navigation should be easier as well.

That's a great tip, thanks for that one AWA - such simple things are the hardest to remember.
Now all there is to do is fix the reporting lag :)
Well, we are aware of that issue, Robsp, and our engineers are hard at work fixing it. I'm hoping for noticeable progress soon. And thanks for the patience in the meantime.
They should just say, "We are aware of these problems. Our engineers are hard at work fixing it."
Robino, point well taken. I'll be passing on a link to this entire thread late Friday evening, to lots of folks within AdWords who take WebmasterWorld feedback very seriously.
So, I invite your comments. (Meaning all y'all.) ;)
