How can I get more clicks?

Here is the deal. I have a campaign set up for a company from CJ. I have about 12 ad groups in it. Each ad group is advertising something different that this company sells. My CTR is averaging between 1.3% and 8% for those ad groups. My ROI is great but I would like more clicks and sales.

I seem to make a sale about every 30 clicks. How can I get more sales or my ads to show more often?

I have my daily budget up real high.

Should I increase the bid amount on my keywords? Presently it is very low.

Opinions please,

Thanks

Yes, increasing the bid so that you are in the top 4-5 ads on the first serp will help. Since your budget is high, your ad should show almost every time, but you need to know how popular the term is in terms of searches performed each day.

(Getting more clicks from the current 30 impressions means improving the ad copy or the ad offer)

You might also want to consider expanding your keyword list, zeus661.

If your CTR and ROI are good with your current keyword list, then could you create a longer list using a wider assortment of equally well chosen keywords?

More keywords are likely to mean more impressions, and more impressions are likely to mean more clicks.

And if you don't have Content Partners turned on, then you may want to experiment with that as well.

8% is not a bad CTR. My suggestion is upping the bid and maybe tweaking your advertisement. Sometimes however I feel going only for CTR can be a problem. You will end up getting non-releavant traffic to your site.

If you dont mind me asking, how do you have your ad words set up to get a sale per 30 clicks, I have never be able to get that high of a rate yet. Are your ads and keywords very specific or are they broad about your site.

Tweaking and testing. It took 3 weeks worth of playing around with it. Plus it appears to be good product to sell.

So your click-to-sale conversion rate is 3.33%, and with a top end ctr of 8%, that's 2.67 sales per 1000 impressions.

Whilst of course improvements are always sought, are those conversion rates not considered good?

zeus661, try to get to North (premium position above the organic search results). Select a phrase or two with more competitors, where your ad is on the third or fourth spot and the first two competitors (or at least one) are on the premium position. Then increase your bid just for those phrases to replace your competotor's premium position. CTR used to be much higher on the premium spots.
