Hi,

I have a unusual issue. I bid on the word "widget" as a phrase match. Now when the program I am promoting wrote to me that I am bidding on their trade mark because when they search for "Trademark Name widget" on google (without the quotes) my ad comes up. Which is probably the way it should be . But on my ad I have Trade mark name in the title line and those words are highlighted so its becoming difficult to convince the company that I am not in violation of the trademark.

search in google " Trade mark widget"

My ad.

AWA any comments?

not sure what you mean. Is the Trand Mark Name being Dynamically added to the ad title throught the use of dynamic keyword insertion?

Anyway, even if you are right, if they have deep pockets they might not mind spending $5000 on legal fees to "try" and stop you, although you might.....

Why not just do a negative match for the trademarked name?

The Trade Mark name is already in the title as I am selling their products. They don't have any objection to that. They only object to bidding on their name.

Seth_wilde, Thanks that's a great suggestion.

I have a similar issue with a company and can't even use misspelled words. Wonder if we are promoting the same company?
