No Impressions .....

Everything says I should be getting impressions but...

GA's traffic estimator says I should get traffic.
WT says I should get traffic.
All my other keyword research says I should get traffic.
Every ounce of my being says I should get traffic.

But I am not even getting any impressions so I definately won't get any traffic.

What am I doing wrong?

I suppose I should explain that I have just started a new campaign to a new site and that it's been a few years since I have personally started a new campaign as I always had others to help me in that area, but since selling the business I have to do it myself.

I am pretty sure I have set everything up correctly and wondered if PPC SEM (And specifically GA) has changed or have I missed some glaringly obvious "turn on" button?

Any advice to a reborn GA newbie? :)

Thanks

Jason

Heya JasonD

This topic comes up with real regularity on the WebmasterWorld AdWords forum.

I'd say the most common reason is that your ads/keywords are of a potentially 'sensitive nature', and need to be reviewed before they can appear.

Another possibility that sometimes occurs with newer advertisers who are not really familiar with the program:

If you set your Maximum CPC for an Ad Group higher than the Daily Budget you have set for the campaign that Ad Group is in, then the ad won't run.

Our system doesn't see the logic in setting a daily budget lower than the possible cost of a single click, and rebels! ;)

Anyway, the most often given advice when you see no impressions, and you think something is amiss: contact AdWords support, which can take a detailed look into your account - and tell what problems, if any, are at work.

Best of luck with your new foray into AdWords!

1. Make sure that your credit card is valid
2. Do what adwords advisor said :)
3. Double check to make sure it accepted your credit card. In your billing history you should see the $5.00 charge to signup and if you update your personal information you should get kicked back to the update page without a redbox around your CC#

Googles billing system has been pretty pathetic. I can't wait until they upgrade and use CVV fields as well.
