Actually updating all the time, with stats running about three hours behind.

AWA:

Do the stats update a little slower during the holiday season? Seemed to last year.

seasalt, I have a gut level feeling that you are correct. I have the notion that the entire Internet seems a little slower right now.

Talked to an advertiser the other day, who says his online store on another site is really slow for example.

I guess it is the biggest shopping season of the year, plus new advertiser trying to capture holiday traffic, existing advertisers adding new stuff, and so on, and so on...

BTW - I'll be away from WebmasterWorld much of the day today, but will check in whenever I'm able.

Ah! You just made me realize when I add a high volume term and get knocked out for low CTR, I should wait three hours before reactiving the account!

Stats on my end seem to be like steps...updating every two or three hours during the day. At night they seem to update a lot faster.

Now real time stats would help a lot, especially with testing keywords. I guess the other way is for me to just test a keyword for 15 - 30 mins and wait until the data rolls in.

Hey AWA, I made a post about this 2 days ago but no one has answered me... sorry to bother you, but My adwords hasn't been updated in 3 days... I have no idea why.

The only thing I can think of is that my ad isn't being showed, but it's showing as Active and nothing has been disabled on that particular campaign... and more interestingly, from the other side of things, it shows twice as many clicks as Adwords is saying I have. 3 days now, not 3 hours, what gives?

Sounds like time to call the GooglePlex. if you hurry, you might be able to catch someone before the weekend starts. 1-866-2GOOGLE.

fidibidabah, I concur with RedWolf - it seems as if this would be a case in which seeing the actual account would be important.

One thing that confuses me a bit is that the first half of your post implies that it not running, and the second half implies that it is running - so not sure what to say.

I think more info is needed, than is available here.

Sorry about my confusing post earlier, I still work retail (Although soon not anymore, all thanks to Google!) and I had worked a full busy Golden Quarter shift before I wrote that!

What I ment to say was, that was the only thing I could think, but that I was incorrect. In otherwords, the ad was definately running.

Anyway, probably had something to do with the fact that I just opened my AdWords account and started at it right away. It has since updated and now is close (er, closer) to my reporting on the other end of things. Actually, it seems as if AdWords has updated quicker for once! Hope this keeps going in such fashion. Thanks for the answer :D

Oh, while I have your attention... is there any way I can restore a deleted Ad Campaign? It's interesting they are still there, etc. but that's probabaly just so you can review numbers and run reports. Oh well. I guess I should just be more careful next time. Just have to retype it :)

You bet. You can restore a deleted campaign simply by going to the campaign page for the campaign in question, and clicking the 'Undelete Campaign' link near the top left of the page.

Voila! It is back again. :)

It's interesting they are still there, etc. but that's probably just so you can review numbers and run reports

You are quite correct as to the reasoning. (And also because advertiser's will often want to re-activate them later.)

However, If you'd rather not see deleted items, there is always a way to hide them. For example to hide deleted campaigns, select the 'Show only active campaigns' option from the drop-down menu a short distance above the 'Campaign Name' column in the 'Campaign Summary' page.

And, of course, if you want to see the deleted campaing later, just select the 'Show all campaigns' option from the same drop-down menu.
