Thanks for the info. From the website I gather that Adword is to promote a product/service you sell. I thought I do not need a website or sell products to put on an Adword campaign. Can anyone explain?
you want to promote some one else's site via adwords?
are you an affiliate or just kind hearted, if the latter, than I could do with a few extra visitors :)

Welcome to the world of intraweb marketing! Yep, you're gonna need a website, people will want to click on your ad not just look at it ;)
Unless you're looking to become an affiliate, which you see advertise for sites such as eBay and others. Personally, I wouldn't touch the field with a 20 bazillion foot barge pole. Looks dirty over there (and I say that from my view here at WebmasterWorld)
Mainly because (IMO) affiliates don't contribute anything to the Net except more ads.
I disagree with this. There are many affiliates who have sites that are primarily information, and they pay the bills with affiliate ads.
I don't mean affiliates that are clones of Amazon, these affiliates just annoy me, but there are plenty that have some excellent content and are very useful and informational.

True, certainly beople who run non-profit sites need to pay the bills, and I didn't mean to be disrespectful to anyone.
I just have philisophical objections to (as an example) lots of people running ads for Amazon products because one Amazon is enough - we really don't need a dozen of them. They crowd out the mom-and-pop stores, who provide Amazon-quality customer service, but are hurting a lot more for individual orders.

In that case, more power to them, seriously.
