hi all

i've been using google adwords since it came out for one set of keywords, i was there from conception with 4p per click words still going strong.

i've started a couple of new biz venture with stiffer competition. and think i need to go back to basics to get this right my campaign is all over the place.

can someone please point me in the direction of the most informative threads. i even wasted my money on a google adwords report about a month ago and obviously did something wrong as i lost all my low cpc keywords when I added new words to adgroups and had to start again to try and bring them down.

do you keep one key phrase with a specific ad in it's own adgroup? is this the key?

i'm currently spending about £400 a month to bring in £800 profit on this new campaign can I be nosey and ask what sort of return other people look to see from adwords campaigns and how does this measure up? i've no comparison.

would also like any advice on how to make money on google adwords with affiliate programmes which are the best threads to look at? what are basic rules?

sorry it's so long but think it's time to ask for advice rather than muddling along! which is why i'm here after all! :)

thanks
