unless you can show concrete proof, until then I am not going along with this idea that Google are affiliates/whatever of yours.

I have been looking at depth into this I think that I have found the solution. I must admit that I think (again) that I have been mislead.
Here’s the background:
This scheme is for a company called Gear Zone run through TD. As a merchant I received an affiliate application, the site name and URL came up as Google. So I accepted the program thinking that Google is taking affiliate links as adwords. Then the adwords GearZone affiliate links appeared on certain searches on google.co.uk.
Now going back in the TD system I see the contact email for this affiliate has a non google email address, and looking at the affiliate in more detail it appears that all they are really doing is buying adwords on our behalf.
So first of all apologies to you all (and GG) for misleading you.
My reasons for error are:
1. I didn’t think you could set up as an affiliate in TD with a domain that you do not own. This is a TD issue which need sorting ASAP as I see 6 other merchants have also been fooled.
2. I didn’t think Google adwords allowed such affiliate redirects.
Well I hope at least is flagged up to two issues, one for Google and one for TD.
