Adsense Check Bounces

I wonder if this has anything to do with the 'adwords mispayment' deal..

So, I deposit my August earnings check..

and it bounces. The bank says 'the account the check is drawn from has closed'.

I was one of those 'mispayment' people, but my adwords and my adsense have the same information.. BUT, the check never cashed.

Did this happen to anyone else? I've contacted Google multiple times, in multiple ways, over the past week, and have gotten no reply. I'm upset, thta's a lot of money sitting around that I can't use..

Very odd from a company with plenty of cash reserves.

As mentioned, possibly a bank error, or the cheque was stopped?

If you look at Jenstar/Jensense's blog, I think Google made a mistake with some checks. They're re-issuing them ASAP or something...

I have not cashed my last 3 adsense checks : July-September.(waiting a trip to TX)

I emailed Google and ask them the expiration of the checks and they told me they are valid 6 months.
I hope that's still stand.

almost all cheques/checks have a life expectancy of 6 months but you are taking a real chance by waiting over 90 days as some retarded banks refuse to negotiate cheques/checks that are more than 90 days old.
why not just post them to the bank in texas with a credit slip to your account if you canīt physically deposit them? hell, this is 2005 and iīd prefer 90 days interest on my earnings instead of a big fat zilch.

why not just post them

Do you mean mail them to the bank!? OMG, don't tell me that's possible, I didn't know, shame on me.
My bank is Bank of America, do you know if that kind of service is available there?

BTW, where are you from?

It bears repeating once more time:

If you're in an area that Google services with EFT sign up ASAP as messing with Google checks is a pain in the gluteus maximus. EFT has set me free and now I never have to leave my domicile for that monthly trek to the bank, I mean seriously, getting dressed and going out in public is highly overrated.

One month the post office nearly detroyed the check as it arrived somewhat mangled and I was shocked it was even cashed. That was on the months the postal carrier was smart enough to figure out which of the 12 mailboxes was for my mail, instead of his usual method of random distribution.

I use Bank of America and mail deposits often. You can open new accounts online, etc. You don't need to leave the house to bank with them. Call their support number and tell them what you need, I think they are extremely helpful. I once made a fairly large deposit before leaving on vacation and they even sent me a thank you note and said they hoped I had a good time on my trip. And one time, they gave me $100 to open a savings account, I closed the account the following day and kept the 100 bucks. Another time I accidently overdrafted and not only did they refund the charges(after I explained what happened and why), they accidently refunded the charges twice, another $90.00 in my pocket. I've been banking with them for many, many years.

I also think it was a bank error. OP would have gotten an email from Google if his account was affected by the mix-up.

It bears repeating once more time

Why?

Being paid by a cheque has been the norm for a lot longer than a bank transfer plus its a lot more fun holding that big cheque in one hand and the steering wheel in the other hand as you drive into town to bank it.

Plus it's a good reason to get dressed and get out of the house at least once a month ;)

Nah, bank checked it - 'Account Closed'.

This is totally unlike the 'bank error' I had on a check from a few months ago. This is an honest-to-goodness check-from-bad-bank-account situation.

STILL waiting on Google help - I've emailed, and used their online question form..

holding that big cheque in one hand and the steering wheel in the other hand as you drive into town to bank it.

But it's not an environmentally friendly process compared to EFT. Also, at $3US/gallon for gas it seems like I'm just throwing away perfectly good money to drive over to deposit a check that would be better spent on beer and pizza delivery.

"I wonder how many cave dwellers there are among us :)"

I crawled out of my cave last week. incrediBILL is right, it's highly overrated.

McMasters, did you get that email from Google about the mix-up?
