My only deduction is that ad targeting is way off to this week and hope that G fi will fix this problem.

Similar problems here. Traffic went up but epc down. Total earnings slightly down.
That's exactly what touched off this thread with a minor exception that the earnings were going due to CTR alone during a major EPC decline.

However, after EPC hit rock bottom in September it's bouncing back with a fury in October.
What's really odd is Friday always marks the start of my weekend decline and I'm having one of my best days ever so far today. I'm wondering if people are starting the online holiday shopping already?
The clicks are paying much better and October looks to be the best ever! If things stay like this :)
I don't know what's going on but----way to go Google!
This morning Google shares up, Yahoo shares down.

Try section targeting. If you don't know what it is, check it out here:

I added this to the main text section (only half of it, actually) of a page that was getting horrible ad targeting, and immediately my CTR and EPC shot up. Within like 2 minutes! Now, the interesting part here is that the page in question is tightly focused and had always shown very targeted ads in the past. In fact, it was my highest CTR page prior to Oct. 1 and Google's targeting problems. So don't think that it won't help you simply because you know your pages are tightly focused. Give it a try on a page or two and let us all know if it helped you too. Let's work together here!
[edit]Let me add that I too am suddenly seeing better EPC, CTR, and ad targeting. This indicates to me, since you all are seeing it at the same time, that G did have a problem and now it's resolved (I hope). I knew something had to be up... glad it's ok again![/edit]
One was from infinitimarketing...forget what the other was but that one was the guy with the watches knock-offs running up the arm (just my impression from his site). :)
After that, the price of the clicks stared to climb upwards. Deepish, you might want to investigate your ads even if they look targeted.
