Take some time off to read every thread in the A/S forum ;)

The first thing to do is to familiarise yourself with the Google TOS. No point in getting ejected from Adsense on the first day!

first and foremost point is : Never click your own ads to earn more, if so, you will be out of adsense, that's the only thing i can say now. Read WW threads and get some idea.

Welcome to Webmaster World!

Indeed, believe it or not, the most solid advice is:

1) Fully comply with the Adsense TOS;
2) Take some time to read posts on this forum.

I have learned that forum members appreciate it if your questions show that you have invested time yourself to learn about a certain issue.
WW is about learning by sharing.

Well said, HumbleB.

Read read read. I don't even have Adsense, but I follow the AS threads anyhow.
( Some of my favorites are 'I got banned' and the like.)

There's a ton of collected wisdom in these forums.
Of course, it takes some discrimination to filter out the inevitable BS.
Maybe that's why I like the 'banned' threads, or the ones whining they can't get into DMOZ.
Some of those write 'whinging' instead of whining. DMOZ hates poor spelling BTW.

After a while, you will begin to recognize names you can trust for good advice.
Likewise, you will scope out those with little to offer.

I started out sifting thru the forums index. Then I became addicted to the 'recent posts'.
I lost track of how many small improvements I made to my site based on all this.

Now I gave myself an idea. I'm gonna email myself the text from each page in my site.
I'm going to see if they all pass the spell checker.
I want no unwashed 'whingers' on my pages at all. - Larry

im new(ish) to adsence, I have had it on my site for 2 months and just got my first payment.

my advise is read a lot of the threads on here, and play by the rules becuase making $10 a month playing by the rules is better than making $0 per month by cheating and getting booted from adsence.

I suppose im one of the lucky ones that earns quite a bit from adsence (average $1800 per month) over last 2 months and I have no intention of EVER taking any risk that would loose me that income.

play by the rules
