Impossible?

I got an impression, or maybe the page was cached

Because of Hurricane Rita, we shut down and moved our servers to safe storage on Wednesday evening. We brought everything back up again on Sunday morning. I checked my adsense account and I supposedly got one impression on Friday, at least 30 hours after we shut down. Delay, cache, or a bogus counter on Google's part?

Probably someone found the page unavailable and hit the Google (or Yahoo or MSN) cache, thus recording an impression.

Or it was an AOL customer, they cache tons on stuff although I'm not sure how long for.

I removed adsense code from 1 site 15 days back.
but I get an impression yesterday.
Not sure how that can be possible.
Don't think an ISP can keep my page for 15 days and if it was google/msn cache it should not reflect in that channel.

Ah, yes, I had this happen as well, when my server died a non-hurricane-related death. Don't worry about it.

People saving a copy of your page locally can have this effect too.

I stopped showing Adlinks about 3 weeks ago. Today I have 174 impressions and 1 click from adlinks.

It's just fading out slowly.

I guess it's peoples browser cache because the only thing that disappeared for most of my pages is the removal of the Adlinks box and the browser won't see the need to refresh the page.
