Hi there,
I just read david_uk's thread about google not knowing what they do :) and then I checked a couple of advertiser's webpages on my site through the preview tool. I remember reading something about ebay ads and that they pay crappy cents for clicks. I also remember that someone said that one should just block all ebay ads.
How do you think about it? Do you recommend doing this.

Hi Sven,

I blocked ebay ads about 2 months ago and noticed a slight increase in earnings per click. So it didn't hurt, but I'm leery of saying that was definitely the cause of the increase. Too many variables at play to know that for sure.

I blocked them and my earnings increased. But the opposite may happen on some sites..

I blocked them because they appeared to point at eBay's home page. Figured my visitors would be disappointed and start to mis-trust the ads. Had they pointed to relevant listings I might have left them alone.

Don't think it made much of a difference to earnings, but blocked a sneaky scraper last week and that made an enormous difference.

I don't know if this is correct or not, but I figured ebay ads would be low payers. When I see one on a page its a sign the subject either isn't expensive enough, or that I should use more synonyms for the product I'm talking about.

I like to use the adsense preview tool to see how far down the list ebay is. I consider it a useful marker.

I block all affiliate ads I see on my site. It isn't so much about the fact that they are affiliates as that they tend to point to main pages on ebay or whatever and are therefore misleading.
