Deluged In Cancer Ads

Not thinking, I recently posted a piece on my sports blog about clothing with uv protection that would help prevent skin cancer.

Now all my ads are about cancer.

Sheesh. I just got rid of six weeks worth of "mosquito magnet" ads.

I find it amazing that one short mention (less than 100 words in the whole bit) could trigger such an avalanche. You'd think that the weight of all the other words on my sport would outweigh the two or three on skin cancer.

On the bright side, my ECPM has skyrocketed -- doubled. But I'm wondering if this is going to send a red flag to google.

Thoughts?

Use section targeting to tell google you don't want it to look at content unrelated to your core site.

[google.com...]

<!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) -->
Don't look here google
<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
