People do it all the time.
People get banned all the time for invalid clicks too.
It's called a click ring.

Seriously... unless they click like maniacs, there is no risk, but then again, what's the point of trying to fool Google if you hardly get anything back from it, other than sleepless nights?
BTW... I assume that you are properly notified by them if you are banned or get a warning... right?

Posting that in this adsense forum where a Google adsense employee is constantly cruising the threads is really less than smart, especially with your IP hanging right out there waving in the forum logs saying "Here I am Google, ban me".
I have to admit that will be a most enjoyable day for me. Can't wait to read your "I got banned and don't know why" thread.

I assume you didn't mean to create a click-ring. In this case, it's called an Internet community where people around the world contribute to your website or network with their sole discretion and without any intention of generating invalid clicks to your site. The only ad clicks come from those who are really interested in the ad content, whether they're your friends or not are considered legit.
Remember, even real friends can sometimes hurt you bad while trying to help you and too many "Internet friends" is asking for trouble. ;)
I put AdSense on a site for a client, and advised him not to click the ads. No problem. A few weeks later the client tells me that's he is telling all his friends about his new site. I caution him to advise his friends not to click the ads. The client does not understand, even gets a bit angry. For his sake and my sanity AdSense got pulled from that site.
However, your AdSense account will be terminated as per TOS.
P.S. I don't tell my friends about my website, and as a good business practice, you shouldn't. If they just so happen to go there, then great.
Surely this would n't happen. Google does n't own this site. What about privacy? I can't imagine the webmaster of this site grassing up every person who suggests they are cheating Google.

But even if Google had easy access to these logs I think suggesting that they would use them to ban someone who asked a foolish question about cheating is far-fetched. Surely Ann was joking, or this makes me scratch my head and wonder about her...
The original question is foolish though. Anything that causes clicks not connected to the clicker's desire for the advertised product/service is likely to get you in trouble with Google should they detect it.

The point was posting about such activities where you can be theoretically traced and reported is about as bright as a burned out light bulb.
It took me just a few minutes of Googling him to know he's from the Philippines, etc., etc...
If you encourage people to click your ads you are doing something illegal and fraudulent.
Stop now and look at the long term benefits of AdSense.

I was referring to adsense advisor and Google being smart enough to track this guy, not webmaster world being corrupt. I do believe They have many ways to check this guy out. Can you say spider?

The crappy part is using a free Tripod account with ugly banner and ads, and the fact that none of the internal links is working. Or are they working for you? If I want to click an internal link, all of them have the same URL wich is URL/#.
The part of the page that looks good is just a free template he took from Mastertemplates.

That was a business, not a group of friends. Google knows darn well they can't sue an individual for clicking on ads. However, they can sue a company. Why? Because companies are open to any lawsuit imaginable. Also, isn't it interesting Google didn't sue those 50 people individually? They only went after the company.
In any case, it's still not illegal. Meaning, you will not go to jail, and a criminal background check will not come back with a "Violated Google's TOS" on a routine traffic stop by a police officer.
This is not a law which is enforceable by state or federal laws. It's a violation of Google's own TOS. Google has a right to enforce their TOS, and sue those who violate it.

Just Google bongkph. It's a one page site with 4 ads across the top without "ads by Google" however if you check the properties by right clicking they are Google ads.
I believe it would be a civil case.

I hear you on that one. I own a business I been running for 30 years. About 4 years ago I was involved in one of the most bizzare cases imaginable, it was actually the talk of the town. I was so glad when it ended and I won.
I'm looking at the same Tripod site, and it does appear to be a new site with no links formulated yet.
Not important, as I think we answered his question, and G will answer in good time if he chooses to take that route.
