I am new to AdSense for Search. But I am wondering if it is allowed to change that ugly form field to a link like:
"Search Google for (keyword)" and than use a URL with you pub-id like:
[google.com...]

It gives the exact same result page as the search form.
Is this a TOS problem?

Code Modification

Any AdSense ad code or search box code must be pasted directly into Web pages without modification. AdSense participants are not allowed to alter any portion of the ad code or change the layout, behavior, targeting, or delivery of ads for any reason.

Seems like you would be changing the behavior and delivery of the way the ads are targeted and layed out. So yeah. TOS Violation.

Try adlinks! Its what you describe but the keywords are chosen by google.

I really wish I could do what the OP suggested. The problem with Adlinks is too often you get..

Widget
Widgety
Another way to describe a widget
Widget synonym

I want..

Widgets for newbies
Red Widget
Blue Widget
Something else that does what a widget does

I think you can only do this with a little human intervention.
