I have a site mydomain.com with a page mydomain.com/page1.htm. If I put a channel for page1.htm, will the stat in page1.htm added to mydomain.com channel?

For example, I got x number of clicks in page1.htm, will it be the number of clicks in mydomain.com channel equal to y+x or just y?

Thanks

depends what 'y' is?

url channels count the number of views to that url (or domain in the case of a domain channel)

if you have 20 hits on page1.htm (which is a channel) then it will show as 20

if you also have 50 page views across the whole domain (including page1.htm) it will show as 50

on the channel performance stats page if you are viewing both the above channels at once it will give a grand total of 70 page views

'y' is the number of clicks EXCLUDING the number of clicks in page1.htm

OK. to make my inquiry clearer, here is an example,

I have to custom chanels, for domain.com and domain.com/page1.htm.

The stat says
domain.com/page1.htm - 20 clicks
domain.com - 50 clicks

Now, what does 50 clicks mean?
50 clicks for the whole website INCLUDING page1.htm or
50 clicks for the whole website EXCLUDING page1.htm?

Thanks

Custom channels are applied to specific ad units when a publisher when generates his/her AdSense ad code. If you want to see where the clicks in your channel reports came from, you will need to go into your site's HTML source code and look at the AdSense code for each individual ad unit to see which channel it is assigned to.

If you are using custom channels, the channel statistics don't necessarily have anything to do with the URL of a page. For example, if you track all Skyscraper ad units across your site under custom channel 'X', and all banner ad units under channel 'Y', clicks would not be grouped by domain but by ad format.
