Adsense SSI

Originally my intent was to post a Google Adsense ad on a JS page but I have since found out that that is not allowed. (is that correct)

I kept reading that Server Side Include is that way to get an ad to appear on every page. I honestly have no clue what that is or how to do it.

Can someone please explain to me how I would go about posting the code via SSI so it would appear on the lefthand side bar, on each and everyone of my pages? I use Edit Plus but have very limited HTML knowledge if that makes a difference

I apologize for my other post.

Why not include it on the page itself, rather than using any kind of javascript or SSI include? You have to keep in mind you cannot change the AdSense javascript whatsoever, which is required for most includes.

There are threads [google.com] on how specifically to use SSI includes with AdSense, but I am thinking there might be something site-specific with your site builder that is causing you problems.

I would do that, but I'm not sure how. Each one of my .html pages (for instance a page with an article I have written) cites the Javascript page for the toolbars, headers and footers. Is there a way I can still use the javascript page but then manually post the google ads on the toolbar?

Contact support for your website builder and ask how to add AdSense into your site. If it is a popular builder, chances are it has been asked before, and they should have a solution for you.

I use edit plus and I had a friend (who I am no longer able to contact for various reasons) do the design work.

Any more ideas?

Go to the website for Edit Plus and check their support.
