Zero-$12.00 per day took 12 months with Adsense

People are always asking around here about how long it takes to make money with Adsense. After over 12 months of data, here is my report:

Status: New Site(newly registered domain, no inbound links, etc.)
Advertising: None
Link Exchanges Requested: 4-7?
Website Content: Information only.
Adsense ads start date: August 20, 2004
Adsense ads to date: August 31st, 2005

Current Earnings: About 12 bucks per day.

How much traffic does this site get?

Is it in a 5 to 10 cent per click category, or a multi-dolloar per click category?

When did the site "launch"?

Is it in the major search engine serps, or is the traffic mainly from the link exchanges?

Did you have adsense on the site when you were asking for link exchanges?

I went from zero to 20cent per day in the first 2 months
$2 to $3 per day in july
$5 to $15 per day in August
now (ist September) it's $22.49 and still 2 hours to go for today.

Just the one site, started in May 2005

I launched my site in May 2005 and put AdSense on it on the 1st of July 2005 (had to apply to AdSense first). It's in the educational sector. My CPC is about 14-15 cents per click.
My average earnings are:
July: 18 cents per day
August: 64 cents per day
September: (hopefully 1-2 Dollars per day)

I do care a lot, but it's not my only site. The $12.00 per day from that ad channel looks great with the money from the other channels.

It's got about 200 pages now and gets a couple thousand uniques a day. Clicks are in the 5-10 cent range. I spent about 320 hours building the site and have only recently(now that it's got regular visitors) needed to spend more time maintaining it.

mine had $1.00 in july, $0.54 in August and i removed adsense yesterday ;-)
