Can't rotate or even change ad color on forums

On my website, I successfully changed the adsense color from the normal white background to a reddish one.

However, on the phpbb forum, I first tried to use the code for the shifting colors (selected four color tempelates of the leaderboard style successfully holding the control key in my adsense account). Upon pasting the new code in my overall header folder of the forums, it did NOTHING!

Even more surprisingly, I then tried to just select one (but different) color like I did on my main website. However, it still didn't work on the forums.

I have viewed and done this from the IE 6.0 browser and Firefox, as well as from my home and work computers.

What gives?

I've noticed that even if the background color doesn't hurt the visibility of the text - sometimes it still won't allow it.

If you have light text - keep trying 1 step darker of background color until you get it (I know, I know... this makes you have to change your forums as well)

visa versa for if you have dark text.
