The envelope? I assume you mean the stub inside the envelope?
The check sent to me was in one of those PIN-number type envelopes with tear-off sides. Front of it is address etc, tear-off check inside, the back page of envelope contains (inside) the check payment details. So I keep everything (except the check), i.e. the envelope. Maybe yours was packaged differently?
I'm in England, and I'll be buggered if I'm going to pay US taxes.
That's been covered fully in other threads - you are unlikely to need to pay US taxes in normal cases. But of course you need to pay taxes in the UK on all profits (not the same as income) from your business, regardless of what country the income comes from.
