do single ads boxes perform better?

i saw these advantages, what ye say

1, only a certain topic will catch their eyes (a single headline)

2, as the ad is smaller, they are more likely to read

3, it insures that the ads are only high paying ads

Generally I think the more ads showing the better results will be overall.

But if I was very limited in available space I'd use a small vertical Adlinks block showing 4 links.

yeah use the 250x250 square and each advertiser (3 max) will be "high" paying. 1 ad is too few I think if they don't like it, no click, with 3 at least you have 2 more chances to get their attention.
