Hi everyone,

Do you see a considerable drop in CTR today?

Mine is lower 40 percent. I don't know if they are updated late or so. But was wondering about if your's is lower too.

Thank you.

Nope. Mine is considerably up. Might be the topic, might be the weather, or who knows what.

Fine here. But stats are delaying more by time.

By the way, I don't think anyone can make comments with one-day stats data. Look for the whole week - at least.

Razinkane what do you mean by Spamming?

What spamming are you talking about?

If the stats are delayed that's a different issue, but was just wondering. Few days ago I had made some changes and don't know if because of the changes it shows less relevant ads or it's a common dealy today.

You get more than 40% click thru rate? Or it went down by 40%? I'm lucky if I get around a 3% CTR

He meant down 40%. However, it's also possible to reach 40% CTR without spamming or whatever you call it. There's no logic to blame or jump on someone just because they reached a high CTR rate. Instead, work harder to improve your CTR and take it to the next level of around 10%. It's not about luck at all.

When they started pulling ads out of ad blocks and only showing 1 or 2 ads in a normal 4 or 5 ad block my money started flying out the window. Normally I make x amount, I will be lucky to make 1/4 that amount this month. They are really screwing things up.

I have written them telling them as much and they really don't seem to care. Just canned emails in response telling me that the "technology" is in charge and they can't do a thing about it.

Typical for them.

I meant that my CTR went down by 40 percent.

In other words, if I was getting (for example) 10 clicks a day, today I got only 6.

Do I need to explain here what it means to go down by 40 percent? :-))

My CTR has been down in the last couple of days, too. It's been running about 10% lower than my July-August average and is the lowest that I've seen since June 23.

CTR has dropped here as well over its July August average.

Started on Tuesday with a 10% drop.

Continued on Wednesday to Friday with a 15-20% drop.

Today it is back to a 10% drop.

Normally my CTR is stable within .1 to .2 per cent.

No significant changes have occurred on the site. Traffic has been stable. No ad changes. EPC has also been very stable.

Since my site is a reasonable size (over 1 million "Google page impressions" per month) and probably provides a more reliable measure than smaller sites which show a much greater day to day variation in traffic and CTR, it seems rather obvious that something significant is happening. I understand that something is happening over at AdWords.

Other personal obligations, however, have prevented me from seriously looking into it. Will attempt to do so next week if the answers have not already become apparent.

My CTR is down a bit over the last few days, but I only get a few hundred thousand impressions a month and see a fair bit of variability, so I doubt the drop is statistically significant yet.

Mine is the same (1.1%-1.3%) but EPC is up by 50%!
