This is strange.

My colleague and I have the same ISP.

Suddenly today, Adsense stopped showing up on some of his pages, and then stopped showing up altogether.

He uses Firefox. same for me. He switched to IE, ads still not visible. He has no Norton to automatically ban Adsense..

I am sure that they will return to him, must be a Google glitch.

My question is -- can something like this happen and not be a Google glitch? Anything to check/ verify?

Funny thing is - my revenue has also reduced more than normal over the weekend. Would this be connected? Anyone else seeing anything similar?

.. and now they've gone from my machine too!

(Of course, the first thing I checked was my inbox for the dreaded email from google. Thankfully its not there.)

Thanks FromRocky.

However, now its been 3 hours and the ads keep coming and going... Now you see it, now you don't!

Anyone facing this problem? What could be the reason, I wonder..

If your site don't have enough content, it will show a blank white space where the ads should be.

Defiitely this is not related to a content issue. This is an old site, with lots of that.

Meanwhile, I don't know if its still continuing - but revenue for the last 24 hours is down by 75%!

wanderingmind -

If I understand your post correctly, this problem is isolated to your colleague's computer and you are able to see ads on your computer. I have several suggestions which might clear up this problem.

First, have your colleague clear his browser cache and delete his browser cookies on both IE and Firefox. This sometimes solves the problem. Next, make sure that JavaScript is enabled on his browsers.

If the problem persists, I suggest taking the following measures:

1. Scan his computer for viruses, making sure that any anti-virus programs on his computer contain the most recent updates.
2. He might also want to download and run an anti-spyware program to remove any adware and/or spyware from his computer.

Hope this helps,

ASA

Thanks ASA for trying to help out.

The problem was not isolated to my friend's computer as mentioned in my first post - It later appeared on mine, disappeared, came back again - and this continued for the better part of a day. And was finally over on both our machines and the ads stared appearing consistently.

As FromRocky pointed out, this is a strange and rare occurence which vanishes by itself. On the day this happened, our impressions also plummeted - probably because no ad or PSA was displayed to a large number of readers of my site. (That's only a guess - I don't know if they are counted still!)

Looking at the AdWords forum, and some other posts which appeared in the last 3 days, I think this was in some way related to the AdWords - Adsense changes implemented. Or an unrelated temporary glitch with some a server serving ads!
