on page [google.com...]

#2 ..... "You also agree not to display any other text-based or content-targeted advertisement(s) on the same Web page in connection with which an Ad Unit or any Ad is displayed."

Does that mean we can't have adverts on a page which contains a link to Amazon, etc?

No, affiliate links are ok. They just don't want you to use any of their (soon to come) competitors.

ok, thank you.

It just seems to good to be true, I'm making more money from one google ad per page, than I was with MaxWorldWide with their nasty ads, which spawn popups, force downloads and spawn java in your face ads.

You also can't have your own text ads if they resemble AdSense/AdWords ads.

I guess this would be incase a user thinks all text ads on your site are "Ads by Google"

It could look bad for Google If the ads where to questionable sites.
