I sat down and thought about it and realized it would be quite possible for a Browser Helper Object (Internet Explorer plug-in) to rewrite the AdSense Javascript to replace the AdSense account code with their own. Just like scumware does with affiliate links.

Has anybody seen any evidence of this? I'm hoping Google will be vigilant in their prevention of this kind of behavior. But I was wondering if anybody had heard of any incidences of this happening?

thx

buckworks brought this up a couple of months ago. The discussion seemed to go off topic and we didn't get an answer but personally, I'm not concerned (and I've certainly been impacted by many of the BHOs).

it is against the google TOS. And, unlike affiliate programs via CJ and Befree, there is no incentive to ignore violations of this rule. Google would kick them out and keep their commissions.
