If you have adsense code on your header/footer file, do you have to use a different header/footer file for non-content based pages like login, contact, etc.?

Either that or you can do something I figured out that was easier!

I have a private site-search where I use AdSense on the results page. I was in a dilemma when there were zero results returned. I'd have a blank page with AdSense on it, and that is against T&C... just like what you are talking about.

Here is what I did:

I took one of my popular articles that appeals to anyone who visits my site and pasted it below the AdSense code in the results page.

You could add an interesting article to your footer...even a short one would do. Then you don't need to worry about AdSense displaying since there would be relevant content.

I picked an article that always has a good inventory of ads for those keywords, even though they aren't high-paying. I thought it would be crossing the line to have an article there that seemed to target a high-paying phrase.

Just an idea. Others might not agree that it is okay. I think my site would pass the test for integrity on this one though.
