I have used it once for transfer to a small Scandinavian Bank. It works.

I've been using it since it first came out. It's great. I get my money on the 28th of every month.

I can't wait for them to do this for other countries around the world.

Can you still choose the currency local or US$ when you opt in for EFT?

How much faster is this compared to a check payment?

What about those in the UPS club?

dzcap there is no longer as such a UPS club as everyone now has the choice between EFT, cheque by post or cheque by secure post/courrier.

But by looking at past reports EFT seems quite a bit faster than the average post delivery.

It still is in beta. There have been some reports about failing payments:

It's worked every month to me in the UK. It avoids anything being sent in the post, and I don't need to pay additional commission to the bank for cashing a US$ check. And it comes in reliably at the end of the month.

It seems people have problems in Holland...

I am not sure why is Google not opening this EFT in all countries.

I hope they will soon. Its much much faster!

This is interesting... Why is Google not taking any fee?

Maybe because you guys participate in their EFT beta testings....

Because I am 100% sure banks are taking wire transfer fee. For example: fee for transfering 600$ dollars from USA to my country is around 40$.

The reason they do not charge for the electronic funds transfer is because it is much cheaper for them compared to printing and mailing checks. If they print checks, they have the cost of the checks, envelopes, postage, employees to handle mailing, etc. By sending the checks electronically, they can avoid many of these expenses.

Also, they use local accounts. An AdSense publisher in say Sweden will get the money from a Swedish bank account. No international wire transfer or whatever involved.

Good Point! This is no doubt due to Google's size and global reach relative to some of the other players involved. As an Adsense publisher, you are benefitting directly from Google's economy of scale.

Touch wood! As we say in the UK, but we have had no problem with our EFT, bang on time and no waiting for the bank to decide when it feels like giving us our loot, or what they are going to charge us.
