Using Images alongwith Ads was cool. But what if it is an ARROW IMAGE

pointing to the AdSense Ad

Now this is what I call misusing the system. The last month saw the upsurge and usage of images alongwith ads to attract attention and we all seemed to like it.

Now, just saw a site with AdSense, using an ARROW image, poining to the Ads, alongwith ASense Block!

Further search showes sites with Animated Arrows pointign to ads. Its getting too much I guess

This is like testing limit of TOS ..

Right? Wrong? Reportable?

Not to quote AdSenseAdvisor but there was a thread on this recently where he/she said (paraphrased) while images near the ads were not a violation of the TOS, ones that draw undue attention to the ads are. I would say animated arrows fall under this category!

Interestingly, today I saw an adblock that featured an attractive woman underneath it looking up at the ads, clearly trying to draw attention to them. I thought it was pretty funny :)

As mediaspree paraphrased me as saying ;), using arrows to point to AdSense ads is prohibited by our program policies. Using arrows in this way draws undue attention, and could encourage users to click on the ads leading to inflation of AdWords advertiser costs.

We therefore kindly ask that publishers refrain from using arrows – or attractive women – to draw attention to the AdSense ads appearing on your sites.

If you notice these types of images appearing with the AdSense ads on other sites, feel free to report them to [e-mail].
