Couldn't find this discussed anywhere (perhaps in the adwords section) but it appears that publishers are going to be allowed to "help" the targetting (second para down).

I know this is a url but it isn't mine and it is a news site (so I don't think it breaks the TOS of the forum):

Just seen my first early in the morning stats.

One channel showed 0 clicks, $0,01 which seems to indicate CPM ads.

It will be interesting to see if this really rolls out to all publishers or not, and if it does, in what form.

Perhaps they are going to allow us to use the "google_kw" and "google_kw_type" parameters which some publishers (perhaps premium only) are already using. Just speculation on my part.

I know that in my own case this would definitely help AdSense targeting and get rid of many instances where I either show PSAs or alternate ads (usually reluctantly). Although AdSense does a decent job at recognizing content on most pages, in some cases it simply misses the mark altogether or it skews off in an unrelated direction. On some of my pages which contain a lot of transliterated slavic and east asian language words, AdSense seems to completely give up analyzing the content. The bottom line is that nobody understands the contents on our pages like we (the publishers) do.

I sure hope they go ahead with this.

my pages default to french, since my topic where I rank first in google is written the same as in German, really annoying :/

As I publish under a .de domain and I am registered with google Germany , I am not so sure how this can happen. Nearly all words are in German too. Some latin.
Surely .de should default to German.
