I've been using adsense on content sites for some time, and now plan to test Adsense for Search.

Couple of quick questions:

1. Am I ok leaving the existing single ads block on each page, and adding in an extra Search box to the same pages? (ie does this qualify as just another ad block?)

2. I guess I can test the search, so long as I don't click on the paid ads that appear in the search results?

thanks, DoU

You can test the search to see if it (the form/HTML) works once or twice. They do rack up impressions, so don't do it too often.

The search results will be no different then going to Google and using site:www.yourdomain.com keyword

Thanks, I thought doing test searches (onsite and web) would be ok, so long as no paid ads were clicked upon in the results.

Are we ok to encourage people to try using the Google search box, so long as no mention is made of clicking particular links once the results page is up? I was thinking of having something like "Have you not found what you want? then try a search on Google:" above the ggl search box, as an example.
