Super Scraper Sites

Recently I have been getting referrers from some super scraper sites that are nothing but directories of Google ads. There is not one word of text on any of the pages, just directory page listings of ads.

And the ads are titled "sponsored listings". There is no mention of Google anywhere unless you look at the source html.

The last site I looked at was owned by a <snip> according to WhoIs. Surely Google must know about and is sanctioning these sites. Otherwise this company would never be approved for AdSense.

Could you be seeing DomainPark [google.com]?

Opps, supplied to much info. Let's just say based out of Asia.

No, I don't think they are domain parks because they have page after page on every topic under the sun. Finance, health, software, shopping, mortgage, electronics, dating, business, books, music, movies, poker etc. all listed as categories on the main page. I think domain parks must be related to the domain name.

Actually, I think domainpark links to different categories as well.

After examining the site closer, it does look like some sort of domain park. The main page ads are targeded to the domain name and there are similar searches on the right side. But on the left side and the bottom are all these other categories listed that would have nothing to do with the domain name.

Looks like a super scaper site sanctioned by Google to me.

usually domainpark domains aren't listed in search engines, if they are, they aren't really high up in the Serps.

They are usually on popular generic keyword domains that get most (if not all) of their traffic from type-ins rather than search engine visitors.

From what I understand, "scraper" sites are usually sites that clog up the search engine results.

Did you type in this domain or did you find it in the top serps while you were searching for something else?

That makes sense.

I found it in my tracking for URL's that sent me referrers from my Adwords campaign.
