Have noticed recently that if I want to check the URL of an ad by clicking on the "Ads by Gooogle" link that it does not display the ads anymore, simply a feedback box. Next time through may get the traditional list of sites. Anyone else seeing this?....sure makes it difficult to filter ads from a 728 leaderboard (where urls not listed in the ads).

I noticed that a couple of weeks ago then it went back to how it used to be however it seems to vary depending on which browser is used.

I always thought one of the reasons with the "old" method was for publishers to easily find out who the advertiser was without clicking on the ad.

This seems a retrograde move to me since although the advertisers URL appears in the status bar in MSIE, it certainly does not in Opera, it provides a massively long string which may, or may not, show the advertisers URL and then there is Firefox.

Try it in Firefox and it shows the old page with the advertiser's details!

For something I would not even use once a month it's a bit of overkill...the fewer programs I have installed the less there is to go wrong, be corrputed, hacked or muck up my systems!

So much data and not enough time to process it:-)

My issue is that I want to filter a particular ad but have no way from the leaderboard to get the url if the "ads by google" link does not give it to me. Course I could just click on the ad and give the forum and google an excuse to jump on me. I want the specific url of the ad not the preview of what ads are available.

I want the specific url of the ad

Isn't MSIE giving you that information in the status bar?

Do you have the status bar enabled? It's at the bottom of the browser window.

Go to view>status bar and tick it on.

Yep it does <I am so doh some days>...lol.

Want the information so don't have to write it down then retype it in. Also hate to have to open IE just to get the information. Think google needs to rethink this tool as is invaluable to adsense publishers. Was great for checking on the questionable ad titles.
